December 12, 2019 - Served with my wife’s rib recipe in the instapot

Ribs were fabulous with some subtle but present spice

Wine was stored since release in home cellar

Nose was soft and complex with some nice age obvious

Palate was completely integrated and at peak for me. Nice complexity and integration. Long soft finish.
No hiint of the 15.5% abv

    Would buy again

December 24, 2013 - Drank at my Dad's 89th birthday party. big, bold. Dark fruit forward, but not jammy. Mild acidity. Alcohol seems above average. Tannins present and will only get better over next 5 - 10 years. Good finish.

October 12, 2013 - This wine does not disappoint. As some have noted before me a big but well integrated wine. Something special!

January 8, 2013 - Big and brouding, but fruit is crisp. A powerful wine but rewards after around 15 minutes of opening. Powerful fruit, and lots of complexity. Tannins and acid are big but not overwhelming. About as seamless as a BIG wine can be.
