January 8, 2011 - This is excellent QPR. A little sweet, some tropical fruit and some diesel/petrol and surprisingly unctuous for a $14 Kabinett.

July 18, 2010 - This wine was delicious, but very simple. I'm not sure if it is done, or just entering a closed phase. Either way, I wish I had more to drink in 3-5 years.

May 18, 2010 - mold on top of cork, but nothing below.
absolutely delicious. petrol notes are obvious throughout, but don't overpower, allowing bright tropical fruit, apple skins, and flower petals through. The weight is perfect. The finish is quite long, and even a touch spritzy. A steal for $14, I would pay $30 for this kind of experience.

March 12, 2010 - Excellent Riesling - popped and poured, some reductive notes at first that blew off in 20 minutes; golden yellow, medium-light bodied wine; tropical fruits on the nose and palate; nice acidity, glycerin/oily texture on the medium-long finish. A decent/pleasant bottle.

August 30, 2009 - The cork was in better shape on this bottle, and the wine was also less sweet and fat. A much nicer acidic grip on the palate helped it avoid ponderousness.

(Kerpen KABINETT W-A) New Arrivals Dear Friends, Four new arrivals in the warehouse - all are worth your attention and all are at terrific prices. This list would be a nice basis for a new cellar - it is diverse and every wine is not only interesting but of very high quality for the price. This is not a pre-arrival: 2006 Kerpen Wehlener-Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett 2004 Mayr Sudtirol Lagrein "Nusserhof" Riserva I sound like a broken record but this wine remains one of the top expressions in Alto Adige. If you haven't discovered Nusserhof Riserva, this would be an excellent place to start...and it's at a cut-rate price: 2006 Enzo Boglietti Langhe Nebbiolo If the Dolcetto was this good in 2006 , what about the Barolo jr, the Langhe Nebbiolo? 2006 was a top year for Nebbiolo so you can use your imagination. This wine is quite hard to find as it sees limited distributing in the US. 2006 Alvaro Palacios "Finca Dofi" Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Germ8977 Italy6791 Italy6792 Spain5220
