February 7, 2023 - Young, muscular and rich. Nothing subtle about this Mordoree CdP but delicious nonetheless. Showed some alcohol heat on the palate, but integrated quickly. Blackberry and alluvial stone, creeping thyme, black currant and toasted (almost burnt) almond notes. Got even stonier on the finish, which ran long. It’s a big, big wine but well-crafted.

November 10, 2022 - Domaine de la Mordoree Reine des Bois is the mainstay of the domaine. Produced from a blend of 70% Grenache 10% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault, 5% Syrah and 5% Vaccarese, the grape source comes from vines that average 60 years of age. The terroir is 100% galets. January 9, 2022 - Dark in color, the nose pops easily with all of its dark red fruits, licorice, coffee bean, cocoa and floral notes. Rich, lush, deep and expansive, there is an elegance to all of that power on the palate, which leaves you with layers of lushly textured, black and dark red berries. Give this a few years in the cellar to develop, soften and integrate and it should be ready to go. Drink from 2025 - 2037
