Community Tasting Notes 12

January 29, 2024 - This was.....distractingly good? I wanted to drink a good beaujolais and not have to think about it too much, but this was the best bojo I've opened in quite a while. Precise cherry upfront with some herbal earthiness in the mid palate and a long finish with everything coming together. More tannins than expected, but only enough to bring the structure all together, this is drinking in a great spot right now.

December 1, 2023 - Much better than the bottle two and a half years ago. Bit more weight and cojmp-loexity on the palate.

May 30, 2023 - Understated, charming, lots of pretty fruit, a little funky (but just enough to add some interest), savory, light bodied with a touch of tannic grip. Very enjoyable.

November 22, 2021 - Perhaps expectations were too high. Agree with most of JVPhoto notes: Tart Cherry, black tea, etc. Also enjoyed the rhubarb and strewed strawberries in the back of the palate with some earth notes. A tad out of balance with fine but strong acids. Would like a little more weight in the mid palate, even for a beaujolais. Maybe another year to balance out the acidity.
