Community Tasting Notes 5

December 23, 2018 - Hasn't budged a bit in 4 years. Still a beast of an Auslese, packed with ripe pineapple, citrus, honey, and showing lots of freshness and energy from the bright acids here. The richness and intensity are well into BA territory, and this is still very undeveloped though quite delicious.

March 8, 2014 - A giant Auslese, tasting as if this is well into the Beerenauslese realm of ripeness and sweetness. It's packed with red fruits, pineapples, honey and sweet floral and spicy notes, but right now it's all about primary sweetness with good acidity underneath. There's great length and purity to the flavours, though it's rather monolithic at this stage. One to revisit in a couple of decades at least.

June 23, 2007 - Thick, round syrupy. But lots of everything to keep it in check. pinapple juice. wanted to stay with this wine. . 93-94

June 4, 2007 - Germany 2006 Report - Rudi Weist/David Bowler; 6/4/2007-6/8/2007 (Tribecca Grill): How? how can something be this rich and yet so balanced - tons of red berries swming in a sea of structure! very strong wine that gives the impression that in a decade it wont be a candy bar but rather a true dinner wine with lots to give.
