March 3, 2024 - Anderson Valley, Calif., 2018 Black Kite Pinot Noir Kite's Rest. Similar to previous note. Light-mid ruby, rim variation, viscous (14.5 alc.); strawberry, stemmy. light oak, red fruit nose; mid acids, mid tannins; some depth; long red fruit and wood finish. 16.5/91.

Light-mid ruby, rim variation, viscous (14.5 alc.); red fruit, wood, spice, stemmy nose; mid+ acids; mid+ tannins; mid-full fruit; bigger style; long non-Pinot, hot, red fruit finish. 16 UC Davis scale, 90 others.

September 27, 2021 - Light ruby in color. Really nice balance between fruit (black cherry, strawberry) and earth (mushroom) notes. Medium acidity on the palate with a smooth, medium mouthfeel. I decanted this before serving, and it improved over time. Very enjoyable.
