February 25, 2023 - Great Washington funk. Nice texture and balanced wine. Classic Syrah notes with a real unique accent to it. It evolved a lot over time. Day 1: 91/92

Even better on day 2 when it really integrated more and became more elegant. Day 2: 93

December 25, 2022 - A bit on the young side but I decided to drink it anyway. Complex, nice bright acidity balancing the darker, earthier flavors.

September 22, 2022 - my notes often end the same for Cayuse Cailloux Vineyard- this is world class syrah; this one fills the glass with scents of berries, olives, charcuterie and pepper, the palate is full and tender, shows off a complex profile of salami, herb, plum sauce, saline and blackberry, continues to open up over time in the glass, over the past vintages, this particular vineyard seems to drink well early, mid-term and late which makes for a very interesting investment and patience tester, total umami experience, all of the elements are well placed and come together well

August 7, 2022 - Very young and tight. A floral expressive nose is followed by a full-throttle attack on the palate with a wide array of sensations. Slightly bitter finish that lingers longer than the primary flavors. Neds age, may not grow past the sharp edges present today.

April 11, 2022 - This follows the trend of recent vintages across the Cayuse lineup with reduced amounts of funk. Still there’s funk thank lingers but the reduced potency is positive in my opinion. This one was actually approachable from the start with blackberry, slight green bean, smoke, game, violets and salty minerals. Dropped the list a few years ago due to the funk but glad to see what these look like now. Better in 5 years.
