April 6, 2024 - Really delicious. Well balanced… definitely fruit forward but not overly so. Great flavor profile. Sad I only have a few left

January 19, 2024 - A close out from Lukas. Took a chance on it because it's a screw top, it has some bottle age, and Santa Ynez is known for quality Syrah.

    Color. Dark inky purple/black

Nose. Cola, cherry, blackberries, cigar smoke, tar, lavender.

Palate. Cherries, tar, smoke. Rich bbq meats. Rich character. Acidity is bright. Almost too bright? Tannins are well balanced. Need a longer finish.

Score go higher if we more elegant and seamless. Wine is a bit chunky.

July 29, 2023 - Medium to full in body, with a lovely finish. Blueberry, lilac and crumbling rock. Milk chocolate. It is enjoyable now, with a little white pepper at the end. Silky tannins. Fine acidity. Drink now - 2027.

April 4, 2023 - dark berry - blackberry, black raspberry, even dark heavy grape, light acidity in middle - not sweet just not very acidic. Flavor is pronounced and pleasant. Great bargain for the price

March 12, 2023 - The beautiful deep purple red color suggested great things to follow, but unfortunately, the wine did not live up to its appearance. Nose was fairly light but had interesting complexity with bramble and dried fruit, black olive, and a touch of leather. In the mouth, the body was disappointingly light and fruity without the complexity suggested by the nose. Finish was quick - gone before you knew it. Overall lacking in the things that make syrah interesting, although I will say it was better on day 2 than on day 1.
