Community Tasting Notes 21

  • LorenGrossman Does not like this wine:

May 26, 2023 - Absolutely flawed. Opened two bottles same vintage, same result. Cooked flavors and brown color. Disappointing .

September 20, 2021 - Light toned, brick red in glass. Decanted 30 minutes. Aged red fruit, subtle sandlewood/spice emerges from palate, earth, wood, black cherry. Light tannin and acidity. With time and air, freshness in fruit transitions have under tone of light prune, aged dark fruit. Quite good and interesting for the first hour or so, then with shift in fruit a tad less so as the wood and spice notes dissipate and has less freshness. Drink up.

June 28, 2018 - Ok Mediterranean juice, paired comparably with delivery pizza. Some brine on the nose. A touch thin & astringent on the palate.

March 31, 2018 - Not at all what I expected from Corsica, but a pleasant surprise nevertheless...
Fairly light color ( grape varieties?), not showing excessive evolution for its age. Nice bright red fruit, violet, spicy components; shows promise to evolve nicely. The alcohol reminds us that we are in the Mediterranean, but it balances very well. Very spicy and intense palate, some tannin but not excessive. A bigger wine that you expect from the nose. the texture is really pleasant. I would buy again. Drink over next 3-5 years.

December 15, 2017 - Rødbær, blomster, stilk, noe krydder.
Mye tanniner, lav konsentrasjon, rødbær, dropsaktig. Alkoholen dominerer litt. 88 2011
