March 12, 2009 - Didn't turn out as good as I thought this might be. Definitely a Rioja with its usual dryness. But the after taste was a bit unusual -- somewhat wiry -- not sure how to describe it, but certainly not an after taste I would crave.

February 12, 2008 - Color is dark purple; nose is fairly aromatic - oak, somewhat musky but good fruit - along the lines of plummy, some cassis-like berry. Not tannic or alcoholic at all. Nice mouth feel. Tastes very pleasant. would agree with others that this is not a complex or overly exciting wine, particularly Rioja Tempranillos, but given the price of this bottle it is a wine you could buy a lot of and enjoy alone or with food, and be able to go back for more.
