April 24, 2017 - Medium garnet in color. Nose of blackberry jam, blueberry, dried cranberry, candied dark fruit, and licorice. Secondary notes of herbs, cream, cocoa, vanilla, spice, and carmelized meat. On the tongue, licorice, thyme, sage, blackberry, sweet tobacco, and cream. Medium high acidity. Medium high tannins, medium body. In its prime right now. Beautiful.

April 26, 2014 - Bottle 3 of 3. Amazing, but held up very well. Still big and spicy with similar comments from 2005 and 2010. Just sorry that is the last bottle.

July 3, 2010 - Holding up well, although it should be approaching its end-of-life. Same tasting as previous one in 9/05 ... smooth and enjoyable with good flavor depth and color. Spicyness of the Syrah definitely shows through. (Bottle 2 or 3)

August 31, 2008 - This is a very good bottle of wine. A nice finish with both some dark fruit and BBQ-ish flavors on the nose and palate. We drank right from the bottle 20 minutes after opening and that seemed about right. If you have any of this, you may want to drink it soon, which goes along with the recommended drinkability index.

January 7, 2008 - Intense aroma of grape candy. In the mouth dark fruit, with soft tannins on the finish. Very tasty. Probably my favorite wine of the evening.
