April 28, 2023 - Dark ruby color with clarity, brightly toned. Aromas of black cherry & fresh plum, with striking notes of lavender, allspice berry, five spice and green tea. Fresh fruit on the palate, intense black raspberry and cherry, with integrated secondary mushroom, herbal tincture, clove oil and violet. Refined, with fine-grained fleshy density and medium body, slowly expanding. High-toned acid integration, with smooth moderate tannins and long savory zest on the finish. Excellent now, with big upside as the exotic secondary depth integrates.

February 25, 2023 - Quick decant. Nose of cinnamon stick and nutmeg. Dark cherry palate with roses, baking spices, and notes of beef jerky. Finish rides on taut but gentle tannins with crisp acidity, cherry, apple notes and a bit of mace.

October 16, 2022 - Seemingly at the tail end of it's drinking window, despite being stored in a 55 degree cellar since acquiring it directly from the winery. Fading fruit, with virtually no structure left that it's not a wine I want to drink at only four years of age. So disappointing that I can't even describe how disappointed I am. Formerly one of my favorite wineries.

October 14, 2022 - Historically one of our favorites. These wines are not aging as well as expected or experienced. Though still drinkable, just not what we’ve known over the years. Drink now.

October 14, 2022 - Mainly Oregon (Noizé): Mid cherry. Savoury and spicy on the nose. Quite grippy, dark and savoury fruit. Tannin quite evident on the finish. This one does need some time. ***(*)
