July 27, 2021 - Probably the best feature of this wine is it's balance and harmony; all the parts meld together. Not quite opaque; spicy; smooth in the mouth, fairly rich, suave. More grenache apparent than syrah. Nothing stands out here as momentous, but just an enjoyable drink that can match up with a wide range of foods. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.
Update: 20 hours in the cellar have really transformed this wine into a ripe, crunchy, fruity wine, still with good structure, but much more flamboyant and sexy. Now the nose and mouth are filled with strawberry and raspberry, with beautifully jammy fruit. A little more alcohol poking through, but that is a small price to pay for the voluptuous texture that has emerged. Yowza! 4-14-16-9: 93/100.
