April 30, 2024 - Up to 96 from my previous note at 94. Fantastic structure and fruit for aging.

February 2, 2024 - Nice nectarine, floral, and lychee on the nose. At 4-5 years old, this wine exhibits plenty of mineral and acid structure to allow it to last much longer, perhaps unusual for the Viognier grape other than in Condrieu. Nice somewhat citrus pith and minerality provide a long finish. This wine has a sufficient intensity of flavor to hide the 14.5% abv.

August 12, 2023 - Subtle nose of flowers, with tangerines, minerals, flowers, and pears on the palate with a noticeable effervescence on the attack. A long finish, and the wine still has decent acidity. A very enjoyable wine indeed.

August 1, 2023 - Lovely with foraged chanterelle pasta, floral notes matched well. Nice richness. Concentrated fruit. Sort of a floral white wine fruit bomb. 14.5% ABV.

July 7, 2023 - Only my second Condrieu, first not very good but this one was excellent. Beautiful and perfectly balanced fruit, acidity (medium) and mineral notes. Peach with citrus and a hint of pear. Really enjoyed.

PnP over two days with no noticeable difference between the two days.

June 26, 2023 - Impressive. A kaleidoscope of flavors, including peach, banana, pineapple, melon, green apple, mint, and ground ginger. While this wine is opulent, there is enough acidity to keep it fresh and lively. Not my preferred style of wine, but it’s outstanding for what it is.

September 25, 2022 - As with most of young white Rhone wines, I like to give them lots of air – no exception here, about 6 hrs in the decanter. The first smell from the decanter it was clear this wine just had the “it factor” which in Viognier for me - has that heady orchid fruit perfume with a faint sea mist and mineral note. While the nose had white I define as orchid fruit, the palate was just one specific one, the essence of apricots. I could literally envision them in my glass as I swirled and sipped, so good. Maintains great poise and tact on the mid palate, and concludes with a finish that suggested bitter citrus skins, but actually lands with a strong mineral note. It brought to mind the finish of a strong vintage of Zind Humbrechts Rangen or perhaps Brand GC’s, an almost volcanic quality. But rest assured, this was BONE dry tot eh core. Seriously flirts with being a superb Condrieu, so I’ll be stingy and say excellent today, maybe 2 to 4 years it settles into that next level.

January 15, 2022 - Pale lemon with a youthfull nose of honeysuckle, lemon, honey, beeswax, musk melon, apricot, and almond. This wine has medium alcohol and medium plus acidity and his full bodied with an almost oily consistency. The pallet closely matches the aromas with a medium plus finish. This is a very good wine that can be drunk now and has a drinking window to 2026
