  March 3, 2023 - Joel's Tuscan Lunch (The wilds of Kent): Another left turn to a very different nose.
  Tangerine, dried pineapple, poached pear, cinnamon spice, a little furmint element (thanks James).
  Quite minerally on the palate with a freshness and lift but also rounded a touch oily. Interesting to have this in this very diverse flight of whites

  March 3, 2023 - Tuscan Lunch chez Joel (Kent countryside, UK): Glue like nose. Glycerol and substantial weight on the expansive midpalate and there are still solvents and tart green fruit. A very singular white wine and quite an experience - and it seems to work! Vermentino 100% (selection of Vermentino clones from Corsica)

  March 3, 2023 - Joel's Tuscan Lunch (A farmhouse in leafy Kent): Coastal Vermentino, the best selection from the vineyard made separately with no oak and lots of lees contact. Superb, like a slightly less aggressive GG Riesling. Green, aromatic, herbal, very slightly tropically-fruited nose, and on the palate lean and clean with a long, crisp finish. Felt ready to drink but also quite young, and with the potential to go another 10+ years. Really easy to enjoy, and I thought better-balanced than the 2016 I tried 18 months ago.
