    October 22, 2023 - Dark crimson/ruby color - beautiful
Medium plus aromas of red/ black fruit and dark florals with leather/ tobacco notes
Medium bodied with palate of sweet red fruit/ cherry and tomato leaf
Medium tannins - coarse with high acidity and medium plus alcohol
Long finish led by luscious fruit and high acid
Such a beautiful wine and definitely one of the best Barbera available
Drinking so well now - no need to wait any longer

    October 15, 2023 - Double blind tasting
Medium garnet. Mild bricking with rim clearing
Aromatics medium. Brown plums, tobacco, leather, dry oregano and old oak.
Palate has a medium + body. Acid medium +. Tannins medium +, sandy. Alcohol medium +. Ripe plums.
Finish has a medium + length. Balanced
Dry glass notes of leather and tobacco
    I guessed a 2013 Sangiovese from Chianti
Overall, wow. Shows what an aged Barbera can do. The nose seems older and headed for the tertiary, while the palate has an Italian structure with fruit so fresh it was like I smelled versus tasted 2 different wines. Best red of the night.
Drink now as this is at the peak of fruit versus tertiary.

August 30, 2023 - I know it's Barbera, I know Barbera wines are muscular ones, I know I like this kind of wine but not this time.
Why? Because there is a disconnect between very sweet aromas of mostly black cherry, plum, coke and high acidity. They simply don't play in harmony. There are 2 different parts. Sweetness and acidity.
The smell is very nice. Red fruits like red cherry, strawberry, red currant and also minerals. I have it with baguette, cheese and salami but give it a try with steak or spicy pizza.

November 13, 2022 - Three hour decant this comes across much more like a nebbiolo than a barbera, with a tar/forest floor aspect standing out quite clearly along with a tobacco element. The acidity is borderline racy and the tannins are noticeable, giving this great structure to go with the wonderful nose and palate. The finish is long and the mouthfeel is complex. Going back for more bottles of this ASAP, this can age for years to come as well.

November 13, 2022 - This wine is beautiful. Very tasty. The nose has hints of cinnamon, tar, roses, light leather. Complex pallet that has a zest and zeal unlike a lot of wines I’ve had. Well worth picking up and giving it a shot.
