January 30, 2021 - Dusty but floral nose with decent intensity. Color is fading and this bottle is definitely in a secondary phase of evolution. Tastes old world, Burgundian, subtle and delicious. I love the fruit, compact delicate and in the background of a wine with great textural presence. I think this wine should be in the short term lineup if you have this cellared.

September 21, 2016 - Medium-dark red color, medium transparency. Sweet cherry, tea, raspberry, and sous bois on the nose. Palate shows age-attenuated fruit flavors of cranberry, raspberry, and a hint of cherry with a finish that shows some earth and tea notes. Loved the balance of this at this point. Nothing profound, but very much in harmony. Drink.

February 24, 2016 - Dark plum red color. Aromas of cranberry, blackberry, licorice and vanilla. Palate has cherry, blackberry, vanilla, and some rose petal that carries into a medium finish. Tannins still show in the finish, but this is largely resolved. Drinking consistently for the past few years. Drink or hold.

January 17, 2014 - This one is getting a little old. Lower acid, fruit is fading some, and when we brought it out from under gas the second day it was not doing very well, kind of had an off note on the finish. The 2006 is showing better now.

November 28, 2013 - This wine was another fine example of Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir. We consumed this over THANKSgiving with an assortment of grub ... which included smoked turkey, ham and other fixings. The wine was well balanced with fruit, earthy and smooth from start to finish.
