October 24, 2008 - Sweet fruit and spice on the nose. Good mid-palate and fairly rounded. Of moderate complexity with tannin and acid nicely balanced. Drink now or hold for five more years.

June 24, 2008 - Dark ruby color; somewhat mute nose. Dark cherries, light spice, olives and an umami note. Very balanced; lovely wine with food. Would rate this much higher, but looking for a bit more complexity. Still, this is an outstanding wine from the RRV made in an Old World style.
