August 31, 2022 - Love this wine...Creamy texture right out of the gate after a decant with blackberry, black cherry, and dark plum fruit. Silky mid-palate with notes of milk chocolate, licorice, earth, cedar, and toasty oak. Nice balance here with good acidity, smooth tannins, and a solid finish. Great now after 14 years but no rush.

April 16, 2019 - Dark berry fruits, some anise/ black licorice, dark currant and cedar notes. This Simi dark, medium plus bodied Cab is pleasant but not really special in my opinion. Interestingly, I enjoyed the 2009 Anomaly much better and based on my experience with the 2009 year/ vintage, I would call it a quirky one. Some 2009’s showed beautifully and faded and others have not only showed good initially but have gotten better with bottle age. 88-90 Points.

Day 2: There is apparent improvement with this wine, if you give it air. This time, I notice a bit of a funky, earthy, Howell Mountain type of effect on the aroma senses and palate. The fruit tends to be a bit more extracted a a bit sweeter with smooth tannins. At this point I’m going to kick up my score to 90+91 Points, nice improvement with some air

June 26, 2015 - Very drinkable. No flaws. Minimal sediment. Dark, dark ruby color. Soft bouquet of dark fruit and flowers. No tannin. Low acid. Medium alcohol. Medium finish. Ready to drink. At or perhaps just beyond peak.

October 27, 2012 - 375ml, pop and pour, agree with previous comenter, a little sleepy right now, not as bold as I remember, can't decide if it will improve with age... does remind me of Corison so perhaps it will

March 22, 2011 - i wonder if this wine was a bit sleepy. it had all the components of a napa cab but the palate was muted or quiet. had the wine with steaks and enjoyed it very much
