April 10, 2018 - Unlike any other Williams Selyem Pinot I recall tasting and I have been on the list for over twenty years. If the current releases tasted anything like this I would still be buying my allocation. This wine had a Burgundian earthiness, perhaps a touch of brett that gives it another dimension of flavor. It had none of the warm climate Pinot characteristics that turns me off, but many CA fans seem to enjoy.

November 6, 2017 - My last year on the mailing list. Zero Pinot characteristics. Zero. Smelled and tasted like a Cru Beaujolais. Tasty, but not if you crave a real Pinot. When a wine performs so far outside it’s proposed circle, I don’t score it.

May 29, 2016 - Ripe red fruit, slightly sweet spice. Starts off fresh and lush, finishes with refreshing energy. Very good now with plenty of life.

November 22, 2015 - Wow! This is what MOST WS PN used to be like when we first "discovered" it. Could easily be mistaken for an old world, Burgundian PN. But with mild to moderate brett and quite a lot of fruit. Man, really brings back memories of the prior generation of WS wines. If you have any in your cellar, drinking beautifully now, but could easily continue to easily age and evolve. Great to consume now, but no rush at all.
