August 8, 2020 - Tasty golden elements and a honeyed character on the nose and in the mouth. Not going to improve drink up.

January 15, 2013 - I liked this much more than I expected to. While still BIG, a tad heavy, oily, slow and ponderous, there was enough acid to keep it lively in spite of itself. So all in all, it worked. Definitely not for the faint of heart and palate. Definitely a California Chardonnay - no possible mistaking it for anything French or Oregonian (sorry southern hemisphere but you don't even rate high enough to be included for comparison purposes......).

November 8, 2012 - Beautifully balanced. Drinking well now.

November 11, 2010 - This opens with a classic CA chard profile i.e. butter baby - then settles into more elegance, more restraint. The Hobbs character resides - riper, fuller and broadly appealing. But up against the '04 Walker we found this to be less complex and therefore, although absolutely wonderful, less well received. Pleasure to pit the two against one another. Time to dig up the '06'!

August 18, 2009 - The only quibble I have with this wine is that it does not have the full body/mouthfeel that it needs to get to the 95 point level. The nose and palate are exceptional. Honeysuckle, pineapple, spice and more!
