NOSE: lime, gooseberry, and light petrol.

BODY: medium-light, bright pale yellow color; medium-full to full bodied.

TASTE: middle-of-the-fairway MSR Spatlese; medium-low to medium acidity; light petrol; 9% alc. hidden; very solid, and a great QPR at $26.

October 4, 2023 - Dinner at 90 Miles (Chicago, IL): The 2019 vintage in Germany really kicks it up another notch. This is outstanding for the level; a bit more sponti and a little more delicate and ethereal than the Schönleber Frühlingsplätzchen alongside, but just the same balance and intensity of acidity, mineral, and fruit. A big fan here.

May 20, 2023 - White peach, citrus and floral notes on the nose. Close to medium bodied (9% ABV) with yellow apple and white peach upfront. Good richness and depth through the middle with a touch of sweetness. Tropical notes start to come in towards the back. Nice acidity along with lemon and light citrus provides contrast and balance through the finish. Drinking quite well at present, but with enough depth that it should continue to drink at this level for a number of additional years. Next bottle for me, Q1 2024.

November 20, 2022 - Fantastic! Perfect amount of sweetness, very balanced, refreshing. Paired with "A Savory Black Pepper Cheesecake with Roasted Baby Beets, Perfumed with Orange Zest." WOTN and best pairing of the evening by far at The Inn at Little Washington - surprising me because I'm definitely more into reds and am not at all familiar with German wines.
