April 8, 2024 - Really tremendous and pure. Possible upscore, although I think it is in the prime drinking window. 13.5%

December 6, 2023 - Closed at first, then sweet oranges, soursweet cherries, and cinnamon appear. Great drive on the palate, with intensity and a beautiful midweight balance. This is so oldschool and classic. Understated, subtle and graceful. Develops very well over three nights, adding weight to the palate. A great wine to drink over the next 15-20 years or so, I believe it will peak from 2028 - 2035.

November 21, 2023 - PnP. Deep garnet with bright pink edge in color. Muted nose of morello cherries, saddle leather and plum. On the palate: bright berries, violets, raspberries & wood spice. Sandy tannins are perceived on cheeks and gums. Long finish of red berries, red licorice, red apple skin and glints of baking spice. Tremendous intensity and relatively high acid balancing the fruit to make this feel medium-to-light on the tongue. Definitely needs a lot more air--or, ideally, time in the cellar. The wine did not fully unpack and given the intensity I think it would easily gain 2+ points had I given it the chance.

October 13, 2022 - Deceptively approachable Tuscany red blend (Sangiovese/Canaiolo/Colorino). Pale, bright ruby in appearance, garnet edges. Expressive, polished nose - red fruits, cherries, strawberries, redcurrants, violets, rose petals, hints of tobacco and herbs. Lovely, smooth medium-bodied palate, fresh & elegant, vivid acidity, fine tannic structure. Great concentration in juicy - flavours as per nose with addition of blood orange bitterness. Ready to Go, will age with grace.

April 27, 2022 - Off the list at the Al Castello Restaurant at Reschio
Smells like a cigar box - cedar, tabacco, some leather. Behind it some sun dried tomato and red cherry, fennel - Seemingly quite developed with quite a lot of tertiary for the age and the fruit less prominent.
Palate delivers on the nose with integrated tannins and moderate plus acidity. Quite a serious wine rather than joyous but good with some bistecca.
