Community Tasting Notes 1

October 25, 2003 - Upon first opening, the nose was fairly faint with lemon and hints of minerality. After only 30 minutes in the glass the nose has exploded to reveal talc, honey, wet stones, and white flowers to complement the lemons. The lightweight mouthfeel is pleasant and refreshing. Strong minerality and candied lemon dominate the palate. Just a slight hint of tropical fruit completes the taste. It finishes with a long slightly astrigent aftertaste. This wine does not have the complexity or depth of it bigger brothers, but it is an amazing value at $7.99 for a litre.
