April 10, 2023 - I agree with the reviews of Screwcaps and Profbyron. It's clear what the aspiration is here - 12% alcohol tells its own story. Sadly this doesn't really work for me. Feels distinctly out of place.

Tastes thin, dilute. A touch of age development is creating a mid palate gap.
But the acidity for me is quite high, green apple malic acid.
A nice fennel meets aniseed note through the finish a small redeeming note.
Drink now, before the tertiary notes through the backend pull further away from the middle.
It's ok, but I drink Adelaide hills wine for body and power. -
