July 27, 2023 - Golden. A hint of mint, a whiff of apricot, sweet corn, butter. Wonderful stuff. Rich and a bit of honey, saffron, pear. Rounded and plush. This is just wonderful.

September 29, 2021 - Deep and energetic bottle. Good definition here for the vintage.

August 19, 2019 - EOHK. Light gold. Mango aromatics for first hour, then the serious popcorn notes arise. Palate starts viscous then develops mineralogy all the while keeping amazing depth. Holy cow that’s good.

March 26, 2019 - An Evening of Vinous Merriment and Majesty Among Friends (Craft, New York): Both the 1990 and 2003 tasted alongside it were very fragrant on the nose. Both were big round wines with prevalent oak and vanilla. More brute force than elegance.

January 29, 2019 - Soft palate, somewhat oily feel. Floral notes on the nose. Well composed but beginning to fade. 93-94

August 7, 2018 - Faced with a choice of 92 or 90, the decision was 90. Great choice. Initially this had a small touch of funk, but that blew off and it blossomed over the few hours we drank it. It was one of those bottles where you at first are thinking this is quite good, if not up to the reputation/price, then you start thinking this is fantastic, then you notice you're drinking five whites and somehow this is the glass that keeps emptying itself. Great bottle, great wine.

June 23, 2017 - Coche Corton dinner. A lot of lift, very toffee nose. Jesus this is uniquely viscous, like drinking motor oil except honey and salt.

January 27, 2016 - Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne Vertical Dinner (Le Bernardin, New York): White florals yielding to creamy / whipped honey. Totally drinkable and enjoyable but this bottle was quite far advanced. Echinacea with honey and something quite vegetal in the background. Still good but this bottle was tired compared to the others in the final flight.

January 8, 2013 - post EP burgundy tasting- itis almost a shame to drink your WOTY in the first week of the year. this was liquid gold , wrapped in liquid smoke. the balance was perfect, taut yet giving, long but every second pleasant. the tension and perfection n this wine was amazing. this was a good bottle and i think this wine has many years to go . i must find more

November 25, 2007 - Gorgeous golden color, nose is pretty if somewhat muted, and the finish is endlessssssssssssssssss. The only complaint I could make about this wine is its youth -- the oak has not fully integrated, and a wine of this magnitude will undoubtedly start to reveal exceptional tertiary qualities as it ages. It will be at least another 5 years before this wine starts to enter its peak phase.
