    nose- strawberry. airy and inviting
mouth - sexy red fruits titillate but before you can really form an impression a tidal wave of unpenetrable tart overwhelms the palate. To me there is evident quality but this wine, today at least, lacks balance.
As expected, its went quite well with my snap-pea/shitake stir-fry. for a stand alone sipper, however, i had to open something else.

December 20, 2023 - Sweet/tart, blackberry thicket, crushed stones, citrus, med + acidity

September 12, 2021 - Fragrant nose of strawberries, raspberries, earth and flowers. Serious acidity, fine tannins in finish. Fruit a little muted at this stage, will probably perform even better with a little cellaring. Great bojo!

January 24, 2021 - No funk/brett on the nose. Darker purple fruit, a little exotic spice and some raspberry.

November 5, 2020 - Hmm, a bit more challenging of a Bertrand beaujolais than some of the others from 2019. Sweet dark fruit in the form of raisins or dates with a bit of a effervescent sensation, with saline in the background, and a thin puffy tannic texture and astringency in there as well. All of these flavors have the dials turned up to 10. This wine has intense tannins, acidity, minerality, and sweetness all fighting to achieve balance. None really dominates, but all are overstated on their own right. The overall impression is fine, but if this ages and the tannins ease up, it could easily come out of balance. Not sure I am experienced enough to know the best way to approach this one, or experienced enough to recommend it to others. I enjoyed drinking it though!
