    June 3, 2022 - Open and expressive.
Leading with flinty/smoky, oyster shell, saline-like aromas backed with lemon oil, greenish stone fruit and mineral tones.
Pithy lemon, green plum and Anjou pear with expansive acidity that balances the palate.
Textual wine that had cut and definition but is never angular. Chalky-like mouthfeel that expands lighter to medium. There is a delicacy and fullness to this wine that walks the line of richness without fat, leanness without weightlessness. Great purity of flavors that is only beginning to reveal itself. Several more layers to unfold over the next few years. I will be excited to revisit this in 6-12 months to checkin on its evolution.

October 24, 2021 - Drank from a magnum that was open for 5 hours plus. Not the flashiest wine but great quality for the price. Made to drink young with just moderate acidity. Yellow fruit, saline and touches of honey.

September 23, 2021 - A single-village Chablis from the commune of La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, situated a few kilometers northwest from the town of Chablis. Predominantly from an older parcel planted in 1974. Fermented spontaneously, aged in stainless steel tanks (50%) and used oak barrels (50%). 13% alcohol.

Clear yellow-green color. Somewhat closed and quite noticeably reduced nose with a pronounced streak of flinty smoke and struck matchstick, followed by light notes of crunchy red apple, light spicy nuances and a hint of slivered almonds. The nose open up a little bit with air, but still remains somewhat closed. The wine feels crisp, somewhat lean and very focused on the palate with a sleek medium body and intense, slightly reductive flavors of Granny Smith apple, some steely minerality, a little bit of tart lemony citrus fruit, light sappy white fruit notes, a flinty hint of smoky reduction and a touch of tangy salinity. The bracing acidity lends great sense of structure and electric intensity to the wine. The lengthy finish is crisp, lively and intense with a somewhat closed but still wonderfully palate-cleansing aftertaste of lemony citrus fruits, some tangy salinity, a little bit of steely minerality, light flinty nuances of smoky reduction and a touch of green apple.

A very lean, precise and sophisticated Chablis that feels still very youthful, high-strung and restrained. While showing great sense of purity, freshness and concentration, the wine is more about future potential than immediate pleasure - this was by far the least accessible of the three 2019 Terroir series Chablis we tasted (Chichée, Chapelle and Découverte). While the wine was not as open for business as the other two, this was the most archetypal Chablis in style and - at least in my books - the most impressive one as well. While the other two were very drinkable right now, it feels this wine is going to be the best one out of these three wines, but it is going to take a good handful of years more to reach that point. Terrific stuff for the patient Chardonnay geeks.

March 19, 2021 - Höig doft, lite skitig? Väldigt god. Stram men rätt fyllig ändå. Säkert lite ekad.
