May 2, 2023 - A blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Mouvedre and Viognier in a bottle with a beautiful (relief) label. The label refers to a statue they have in their garden if I remember well from the conversation with the owner. Required a day to become balanced, right after opening almost pinotage like. From day 2 much better with black berry, black cherry, black currant, dustiness and earthy. Medium acidity with medium- tannins (which surprised me given that 64% of the blend is Syrah) and a long finish
Aged in 500L French barrels for 12-18 months, 20% new -
