March 16, 2022 - Like a simple lunch on a patio in Beaune during springtime: dry, relaxing, layers of distinction.
Aromas are smooth, yet complex - with baked apple, fine vanillin, a touch of earthy oxidation, toast & lees. Also, throw in a dash of nutmeg.
Medium body, tart, juicy & lemony…almost limey, on the palate & finish. High acid is the name of the game - but it works. Length? Excellent.
It may not impress California or Burgundy lovers, but for my money it was a score.1 person found this helpful Comment
