March 10, 2019 - The drink between dates for this wine are way out of line!
Kept in a 55-degree cellar since purchase. P&P. Excellent cork. A dark ruby in color, with strong color extending out to the edges with perhaps a touch of bricking. The nose features ripe dark cherry, black currant, plum, some Provencal herbs, and a touch of vanilla. Very good intensity and concentration, just not much Cabernet Franc typicity, if you're familiar with the French versions. Probably made in the same style as their Cabernet Sauvignon. Was a good pairing for chicken leg quarters slow cooker recipe from Delish.com.2 people found this helpful Comment -

September 21, 2012 - Deep red with mild bricking. Hot nose of sweet, red fruit. Raspberry and violet flavors transition into the palate, with a sweet coffee finish. Silky mouthfeel. More alcoholic heat than I would like, or would get a better score.

May 1, 2011 - Great Cab Franc. Needed an hour decant and then was fantastic. Paired with pork chops and grits. Very well balanced with a nice finish.

February 26, 2009 - Decanted for 20 minutes. I remember when I purchased at the winery a few years ago. It was tight and tannic. Fast forward 3 years....The perfect bottle. The nose had hints of chocolate and a little espresso and dark fruit. It glides across your tongue and into the stomach and then it hits you! What a wonderful taste. Chocolate and dark fruit and a bit of balancing minerals. The flavor remained in my mouth foe a good 20 seconds. Paired at Mortons with a burger. Yes a burger. Perfect.
