  February 20, 2023 - This wine I had with my meaty Chinese meal was a pleasant surprise. It had a deep ruby hue and aromas of blueberry, blackberry, and spice. On the palate, it was full-bodied and robust, with flavors of dark fruits, black pepper, and earthy undertones. It had a long finish, and it paired nicely with the pork and poultry dishes. Overall, it was an enjoyable and complex wine that had great structure and balance.

  Decanted for an hour to remove a weird if mild acetone high note. It's over the hill. Should've drunk it last year at the latest, I think.
