    April 16, 2023 - 50 year-old vines, Qvevri for 6 months.

Golden amber in the glass with a nice nose with orange marmalade, a little honey, stone fruit, yellow apple, vermouth.

Yeastiness, minerals, and a little smoky finish in a good way. Very drinkable.

    Drink or hold.

April 14, 2023 - Golden amber colour. Inviting and charming bouquet w. Campari and vermouth, jammy strawberries and chewing gum. Dry w. high balanced acidity, tannic grip. High drinkability w. lots of fruits and something bread-like. Very good.

December 23, 2022 - Nose: kumquat, citrus pith, sweet lemon zest. Palate: thick mouthfeel; mild prickly stemminess; watered-down lemon and light tannins. My first orange wine and while I love the mouthfeel, it could use a bit more acid.

May 22, 2022 - Nose: [54°-60°] Subtle toast notes, clean mud/clay, pear skins (even gently grilled pears if that's a thing), yellow apples, clean and earthened minerals and deeply perfumed white flowers. With some time, a ripe but firm and clean fleshed peach appears, and notes of orange zest.

Palate: [54°-60°] Yellow and white fruits (imagine a cross between a pear and a whole pineapple), yeasty characteristics on the tail end, with a strong bitterness and clean minerals that seem to hint at grapefruit pith. There's a complexity to the minerals: rustic, shiny, dark, burnt, bitter and yet finishes cleanly.

Attributes: Clear, deep gold. Dry with low amounts of fine, supple tannin. Medium body with well integrated medium acidity. Good finish of at least 14-16 seconds. 93-94

Thoughts: This was amazingly enjoyable! Fresh, has depth and some heft to it with a nice acidity to give it some lightness. Enough complexity to keep this very interesting. Has a bit of heat in the mid palate but it doesn't throw this off at all. What a gem.. the hype is real with Georgian wines. What you get for what you pay is crazy.

Serving notes: Bordeaux glass. Slow ox'ed at cellar temp ~55° and consumed over 8 hours. Recommend serving ~52°-58°. Decant unnecessary, but do so if needed.

May 14, 2022 - Absolutely outrageous nose of baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, alongside orange marmalade, Christmas mincemeat and summer flowers. It’s almost like going into a world class spa in the winter with the aromas. Great freshness alongside bitterness on the attack, then bitter orange. For me the palette doesn’t follow the nose. But what a nose.
