November 1, 2014 - What a nose! Fresh flowers, Amaro, plus sweet brown spices. Long in the mouth, with a long finish of dried spices. This is different from the others in that is more red-to-brown on the palate, but not brown meaning dried out, rather sweet brown tobacco, Amaro, truffle and liquorice notes. Another very round, integrated, seamless wine showing plenty of freshness and detail. Old Barolo at Mas Farmhouse, NYC.

May 22, 2014 - Amazing how fresh this is with very lively acids but its balanced by fabulous dark red fruits. There is lovely richness and freshness here and the finish is quite complex with a myriad of aged flavors? Still young and quite intense and really fabulous aged Barolo. My only worry is the acidity eventually taking this thing over but right now, its a balanced high-wire act that works beautifully. At B&B Las Vegas.

October 18, 2013 - Light brown and fairly transparent at first. A few hours after opening, developed a deep reddish brown color. Spices, fall leaves, and some remaining floral notes on the nose. Tasted very fresh and structured. Delicious with white truffle risotto but we all agreed that it tasted quite young and seemed like it would be even better in 10 years when it has softened further and continued to develop.
