April 12, 2024 - My third vintage that I drink of this - the previous two were 2017 and 2018. This seemed tö me the vintage with the last structure, the most Barolo-like. There is a Verduno mark to this I think, strawberries and sweet licorice. Eucalyptus as well? Enjoyable - to be exciting I would have needed either more umpfh or a lower alcohol, this feels a little bit too heavy to be really fresh or elegant, which I think is what Langhe Nebbiolo can deliver as their USP when they are best.

I think this does a decent job at reflecting the house style.

Edit: om day two I think this has improved! Seems fresher and more balanced, doesn’t show heat. I will upgrade from 89 to 90 and from Neutral to I like it.

October 11, 2023 - 1 hour decant, 60 F. Light ruby color. Very expressive nose of red fruits and roses, with hints of mint, wet earth and petrol and a slight note of cinnamon toast. Leathery to velvety tannins with a slight grip, no noticeable heat and well-integrated acidity. Light-bodied but with the gravity of a serious wine. Lovely cranberry and juicy strawberry fruit on the palate, cherry notes, pine forest floor and spice. Lingering drying finish. Great QPR. Has years ahead and I am looking forward to see how this wine develops.

August 24, 2022 - Perhaps a conservative score. After an hour and some vigorous swirling, nose of cherry and cranberry. Floral hints. Red fruited, light-mid weight palate with surprising tannin and well balanced finish. A very nice wine but leaning towards fruit and not much else. Not exactly simple but not a ton going on. Pleasurable. Given the structure I bet this will be good for quite a few years. I really like the clear, light weight combined with a lot of flavor - in a lot of ways reminded me more of an alto Piemonte Nebbiolo than a Barolo.

August 21, 2022 - A slight touch of eucalyptus but strong sour cherry on finish. An really good langhe and my only regret is that I didn’t get more at the time
