December 25, 2023 - From magnum… This is an outstanding Pinot Noir from one of the best vineyards in California. Rhubarb, cardamom, red candy apple. So much concentration of fruit flavor and interplay between the ripe fruit and baking spices. Drink now-2028

February 17, 2022 - Sonoma (and one Napa) Wineries; 2/13/2022-2/18/2022 (Healdsburg, CA and Napa, CA): Nose is very pretty: crushed cherries, violets, slight jasmine green tea note. Palate is more perfectly ripe cherries, earl grey tea, a slight black cherry cola note and candy apple. The tastes are very ripe but the wine is fresh and lifted with great acidity, grip and persistence. Would be a great pair with game birds or some fatty pork chop. “Classic”

November 6, 2021 - November 2021 Trip to Sonoma: Darker fruit than the Saveria pinot noir. A big sanguine, with darker fruit. Heartier than the Saveria as well. Black cherry and black tea. A good counterpart to the rest of the Lioco line up, and very good.

July 29, 2021 - Color: medium ruby with grey and blue reverberations
Nose: opens primary with underripe frutti di bosco. Then upon decanting you start getting red apple, fresh, hints of vanilla and caramel, forest floor
Palate: medium-high acidity, medium body. The barrel notes become more evident here but still very good balance and red fruit and earth notes
    Finish: medium

Very lovely higher acidity Pinot. Barrel notes are there but this is balanced and well-judged. I have this fear that some entity will punish me for drinking my Lioco wines too young but what can I do. They are delicious

May 3, 2021 - Flawed, but not terribly. Enough that I won't score (or finish the bottle). For what it's worth my last experience with this wine left me feeling this was more of a lush, fruit forward style than I'm accustomed to with LIOCO wines.
