Community Tasting Notes 3

June 2, 2022 - Very pretty raspberry fruit to it. And again with the vivacious tension to the wine. Just opened, it would be nice to see it move into itself. Maybe just a touch corky actually.

June 19, 2021 - C-O-L-A Cola -- cherry cola, specifically, though without the sweetness. This is a full-bodied, complex pinot noir, with an initial blast of acidity, and some lingering tannins. By day two, the tannins had mellowed and the wine was softer and rounder. I recommend drinking this sooner if you like, as I do, the structuring acidity and chewy tannins, or store it longer if you prefer something richer and rounder.

This was briefly available at wine.com for $36, which a great bargain for this level of complexity and sophistication and drinkability. At the normal price of $70, it is a less obvious value proposition (though it is still likely to provide more pleasure than many red Burgundies that are available at that price).

    October 21, 2020 - Pristine ruby robe.
Evergreen, red fruit, spice, fog line aromas.
    Light body, acids/-, refined tannins.
    Florals: rose, violet
Attack: Dark fruit, savory red fruit.
Mid palate: Black fruit, bramble berry.
    Finish: Lilting finish.
