    December 7, 2021 - Powerful and pungent (though less overtly brawny and heated than the 2019 Richemont), this is a Folatieres with a lot to say. Pear and pineapple rind lead the charge, with yellow and green pear, lemon oil, tangerine spray, chalk, and nougat parading around a solid core deftly fashioned on gorgeous frame and acidity. This carries both flashy and suave characteristics, gaining even more of a swanky swagger as it dances with air.

    A riveting Folatieres, with an extra layer of complexity than even Paul Pernot’s compelling example. Hold the Boillot for a few years and be rewarded. Sealed with natural cork (under wax cap). 95+ points.

    September 23, 2021 - Sjaak's 40th birthday dinner (Groot-Ammers, Netherlands): Quite a big and bold style, ripe fruit with quite a tropical edge, not as scintillating as the Clos de la Mouchère which accompanied it, slightly duller expression, well-integrated oak, zesty finish, lemon cream.
