February 4, 2024 - This wine is a dark plum color & has a nose of dark red fruits, dark plum & cherry, boysenberry, blackberry. You taste all that bold fruit with your first mouthful followed by dark chocolate with earthy notes. The finish is smooth, velvet & lingers just a bit on the palate. The tannins don't hit to the end & smooths out the total experience of this wine. In my opinion this is a very good wine.

September 30, 2023 - Dark fruit, black current, black cherry, etc some medium pepper/spice on the nose - follows through on the palate. Medium-full bodied in terms of mouth feel, but honestly feels a bit fuller when it opens up, with some velvet, finer sediment and tannins coming through. Medium finish at a minimum, disagree with any comments being that it’s short. Honestly does very well considering that this is a Washington syrah and not Napa or Sonoma.

July 6, 2023 - Deep purple, almost black. Heavy tearing and extraction. Initial dusty/mustyness on the nose. Black fruit, earth, oak. Menthol? Maybe some slight cork taint that is masking other aromas. On the palate, rich black fruit. Soil, oak, licorice, cherries and cherry pie. Pie crust. Oily. Palate is much more interesting than the nose. Alcohol is very present. Tannins are slightly grippy but fade slowly and fruit/earth lingers. Day 2: less cork taint, fruitier. Bitterness on the finish. Fine but wouldn't buy again.

May 2, 2023 - Dry, medium full bodied, medium acidity. Aged in 7%new French Oak and 17% new American Oak for 13 months. Fruit forward smooth Syrah from Columbia Valley. Not that much oaky flavour, bit of sweet vanilla, ripe plum, pepper and leather. Finish was pretty juicy and solid. Decant wasn’t really necessary but an hour of decanting can’t harm either. Drink it now, it’s not gonna improve and fruit flavours may me in decline soon.

September 8, 2022 - Tsaknakis portfolio tasting (Oinsocent): 13 months in 500lt + 600lt oak, 18% new French oak, 7% new American oak
The wine shows depth, high intensity, wood frame, heavy floral notes, 26% whole bunch, vegetal notes, alcohol warmth from the 14.50%, black fruit, black currant, mint.
Palate with warmth again, juicy tannins, black cherries & currants, walnut, fruit in alcohol, medium body, medium finish.
