    October 8, 2012 - Straight after opening this is a bit tart and closed. Sampling over the course of next couple days it opened up and softened some.
    Nose of dark cherry, plum, earthiness.
    Fruit is a little nondescript, perhaps a bit of plum or prune, with an off dry finish.
    Body is a bit thin, but may be just past optimal drinking date.

    September 1, 2012 - At restaurant Maxill in Helsinki. Reticent nose of berries. Light to medium bodied, very supple with succulent dark and red berries. A hint of minerality. Firm and gentle acidity. Soft tannins. Threw some sediment. Pretty old for a gamay I suppose, but still drinking beautifully. Nice.
