March 21, 2024 - Firstly, I would like counter balance recent reviews, saying this is in decline. It is actually only at the start of its peak drinking window. 1995 in general has notoriously dragged its feet in its development for nearly 30 years, but most are beginning to burst into life. However, it does need an hour or two in the decanter. Admittedly, it is not one the power hitters from the year, but it is a very enjoyable Bordeaux. The nose is delightful with cherry and strawberry aromas. The palate is excellent and silky smooth, and I would have rated this another point or two, but the finish is on the lighter and shorter side.

October 9, 2023 - A bit funky and austere. Almost completely tertiary with just a hint of fruit at this point. Drinkable but past peak. It's time to drink up.

September 24, 2023 - A bit dry, light and fading, if not completely faded. Classic Bordeaux notes. Rustic and wanting more fruit. Drink up.

July 8, 2023 - Tasted after 1 hour of air. Medium garnet color. An outstanding bottle. Drinking great at 28 years. Enjoying this on our 28th anniversary. Sweet dark berry fruit. Some dust. Drying smooth tannins. Perfect balance. Some cassis.

June 6, 2023 - Ripe and big but with nice structure and acidity. Blackberry, dark chocolate, and very fine dry tannins. At peak.
