Community Tasting Notes 7

  • Stuart10er Likes this wine:

April 26, 2023 - Quite pale with amazing floral nose. Taste has tart cranberry notes and very light tannins. A bit of white pepper on the finish. Not an overly cola, jammy Pinot - in a good way.

November 21, 2021 - A little tight with stemmy savory notes, & understated fruit, that’s lacking a bit in depth. Not as bright as it should be but well structured. I’m really curious to try the “unfiltered” bottling as I wonder why, & what, barrels were chosen for this alternative. Will it affect the brightness & fruit? 2 of 2

    September 20, 2021 - Color - Medium Garnet
    Nose - Lacking, very light.
Palate - Initially smooth but develops a harsh finish, paper or cardboard. Went away once setting in glass for awhile and fruit developed but showed back up later. My daughter said she did not taste the harshness and loved the wine. I just found it unpleasant and could not get away from the harshness.

August 7, 2021 - Beautiful aromatic nose. Medium bodied. Lacks a bit of depth, and mildly unpleasant finish, but a nice, enjoyable weeknight wine.

June 19, 2021 - Tasted at winery w/G and C. G didn't care for it at all. I found it interesting. Not a typical Pinot, medium bodied but more savory and spicy than most, some leather and smoke as it sat in the glass. Looking forward to trying it again after a little time in cellar.
