Community Tasting Notes 4

April 7, 2023 - Plenty of butterscotch on the nose, with hits of tropical fruit and meringue when tasted. As mentioned in prior notes, the powerful flavors are almost new world in profile.

January 28, 2023 - unlike the first split bottle - which was lovely- this was oxidized and poured out

January 28, 2023 - Big and rich, almost new world in flavor, the only giveaway being the firm acidity backbone lurking.

January 25, 2022 - This light golden Chardonnay was uncorked and serially tasted over the ensuing two hours. With an attractive aromatic profile of pit fruits, blood oranges, jasmine, wet stones and coriander, it is a medium-bodied, crisply acidic wine with well-integrated alcohol (13.5%) and beautifully proportioned oak. The flavors mirror the aromas, adding notes of honey and cardamom. Layered in the middle and closing with impressive length, this is a tremendous white Burgundy that will get even better with a couple more years in the cellar. It may merit a classic score if it develops as anticipated. Serve this at no lower than cellar temperature, as the aromas really blossom when the wine warms up. Drink 2024-2033.
