June 21, 2023 - On the nose, this was super floral, fruity and elegant. On the palate, this showed quite some vanilla still after opening up, but it was elegant, quite feminine and fruit forward. Perhaps a tad sweet, showing its new world heritage.

March 17, 2023 - May need time to age, good but not as good as at the winery. Earthy and a but acidic, but overall smooth.

December 19, 2022 - Tasted blind, guessed everything down to the producer. Au Bon Climat is really a legend of US Pinot Noir, the style being so distinct, it's beautiful. Deep ruby in the glass. At first, there are some sweet aromas of raspberry, cola, dark cherry. As the wine opens up, I start getting more earthy characteristics, complemented by florals and even some stemmy character. Body is full for a Pinot Noir, but I wouldn't say ripe. It has some muscular structure while still retaining its elegance and grace. Stunning complexity even at this stage, but I think this will be a beast with aging. Damn good wine, sad we only had one bottle.
