December 2, 2023 - What a nice surprise. Bookwalter was one of my early loves in wine as I traveled Washington state. I could be faulted for nostalgia here, but I love this wine. It’s drinking well at cinco with bold flavors, roasted meats, brooding dark fruit and notes of stone. This is a style that agrees with me, and always at price points that are fair.

March 1, 2023 - Blackberry and blueberry on the nose, along with menthol. Cherry and stonefruit on the palate, with a warm finish. Tannins are fairly soft, good acidity overall.

February 4, 2022 - Decant and pour. Great wine with menthol, tobacco, black cherry, blueberry filling up a balanced frame of Medium plus acidity and tannin. 2018 seems like a great vintage for Washington.

September 25, 2021 - Lovely color. Long nose. A hint of menthol. Cool, blue on the nose and palate. Bright finish.
