October 20, 2023 - This is a delicious syrah. I believe it is early in the prime drinking window and should easily last another 2 to 4 years. Rich and briney with good balance. Excellent buy at $18. Added 4 bottles to the cellar and would have bought more if it had been available.

February 12, 2023 - Deep purple in the glass. Thick, syrupy legs everywhere. Blackberry compote, black cherry, alcohol, maybe a little smoke on the nose. Dry. Silky mild-to-medium tannins, blackberries, spice (smoked paprika?), pipe tobacco, leather and a little vanilla with more spice and cocoa in the long finish. Full-bodied, medium acidity. Gorgeous, complex and bold.

14.9%, decanted for two hours, then poured into Riedel Extreme Cabernet glasses.

September 19, 2022 - Deep dark ruby in color, with thick slow legs. Heady aromas of plum, tobacco, blackberry jam, and a hint of clove and sage; as it warms and opens up, notes of butterscotch and caramel appear. Very bold and tannic, with strong initial tastes of dark fruits. Nice long finish that softens the taste and becomes smoky, adding some warmth to the mix.

Overall, I really enjoyed this wine. It is very robust and full... a 'big' wine without overpowering or being too much of any one note. I would buy this again!

    April 29, 2022 - Such a great value

April 29, 2022 - Dark and a bit harsh right out of an opened bottle but smoothed out nicely after an hour. Definitely in the Syrah/Shiraz flavor zone which I like. Another bottle will tell if case worthy.
