  June 11, 2021 - Some sediment. Cloudy strawberry color. The wine fizzed a bit when I poured it into the decanter, but it didn't taste fizzy after that. Very strong funky aroma, with some tart fruit underneath -- like cranberry juice that has been delivered through a sewer. Tasting allows for more specificity -- like unsweetened cranberry juice that has been delivered through a sewer. The wine probably has no sulphur added but there is still a suggestion of hard-boiled egg. It tastes somewhat better with food (sausage pasta) than without -- perhaps because the food is masking some of the more unattractive aspects of the wine. On day 2, the flavor profile has changed a bit, and is dominated by acetone and gunpowder. I was able to drink the wine on the first day -- my wife would have run screaming from the room -- but not on the second day.
  
  The wine comes with a bit of a story -- a woman with a donkey making a valiant stand against faceless corporate winemaking -- but I think you would have to be very distracted by thoughts of the woman and her donkey to ignore the unpleasant sensation of drinking this wine.
