Community Tasting Notes 12

  • JonathanFlavell Likes this wine:

November 24, 2023 - Mid ruby, aromas of morello cherry, raspberry, strawberry, red cherry & vanilla. Mid weight, strong acidity and mid tannins that are ripe. To taste, cherry, vanilla, smoke, raspberry & strawberry. Decent length. Good. Nice balance and alcohol feels more integrate than previous bottle. Drinking nicely but will hold fine.

September 3, 2023 - Nice earthy nose and decent (if not exciting) fruit, but overall a little boring; I'd rather be drinking Burgaud for the same money.

August 12, 2022 - No detailed note, remember this being straightforward and pleasant

July 21, 2022 - strawberries, watermelon rind, tannins soft on the tongue. This is an interesting wine that evolves over the taste excellent value

July 10, 2022 - Lovely bright ruby with nose of sour cherry, raspberry, strawberry, redcurrant, jam & touch confected. Decent acidity with grippy tannin. On the palate sour cherry, red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, pepper, cedar & smoke. Good length (here you feel the alcohol a bit). Still early in drinking window but fresh with good flavours. Nice balance between acidity/body/tannin and flavour range. Softened out a bit on day 2.
