November 7, 2018 - Only 2 bottles of this wine left after this one, but they were some of the greatest purchases I made from the great 1990 vintage in Germany, all of which have tasted immortal. The color has a reddish/gold tinge and remains free of any oxidation, deterioration, or taint. Vivid and tingly citrus acidity balances considerable residual sugar. Concentrated Northern Spy apple and lemon/lime citrus flavors are wrapped in a pillow of creamy lushness that is rich, caressing, and delicious.

April 21, 2017 - While certainly delicious, I thought a previous bottle better - perhaps would score higher if drunk on its own instead of with a highly flavored dessert as here

January 1, 2017 - Amber colored but without the slightest oxidation. Fragrantly perfumed, mouthwatering, delicious, and savory, with perfectly balanced refreshing acidity, rich sweetness, and lemon and lime fruit, that finishes endlessly long. No place in the world makes as great a Riesling as the Saar and Ruwer atop the Mosel River Valley in Germany.

August 14, 2016 - Kaseler Nies'chen is one of the great vineyards in the Ruwer part of the upper Mosel that always preserves fruit and acidity no matter how hot and ripe the vintage is. Reddish gold color which appears oxidized but actually has none at all. Deep rich candied orange nose wrapped in delicious citrus. Bright and creamy mouth entry with mouthwatering acidity. Because the high acidity and high residual sugar counterbalance each other, the depth and explosive power of the acidity is difficult to appreciate until the wine is tasted with food with little or no acidity, such as potatoes. Supremely refreshing at 26 years old, with no sign of demise. One of the pantheon of wines that demonstrates the towering greatness of German Riesling.

August 27, 2008 - Wineflock - Rieslings from Anywhere, Anytime (David's): Group #4, My #1 - Full golden color. Huge petrol nose with a hint of white flowers. Nice big bright rich juicy full bodied baked apple on the palate. Very nice.
