Community Tasting Notes 8

July 3, 2008 - As a plain drinking wine its passable. As a Pinot Im not so sure. The nose gave off no indication of Pinot Noir, on the palate it was only half there. Would have thought this was a blend with Syrah really. Ultimately its drinkable, but would not buy again.

April 14, 2008 - Beautiful dark garnet color. Nose has a hint of Oregon pinot funk, black raspberry and mint. Palate teases with dark cherry and those raspberries, but there is no weight at all to this wine. This is a surprisingly thin wine. There are noticeable tannins, but once they arrive there is no more fruit. The finish is very short. This wine is quite drinkable, but for $23, a definite PASS.

    color 5/5
    nose 7/10
    palate 14/20
    balance 5/10
    finish 2/5

March 2, 2008 - Candy apple pinot. Not much depth, but solid.

October 24, 2007 - Light and fruity that is drinking good right now.
